It looks like the speculation and rumors are finally over as Disney may have found their man. Yes we may our new Han Solo! it’s being reported that Alden Ehrenreich will be portraying a younger version of everyone’s favorite smuggler in a stand-alone movie. The picture will focus on Solo’s early days before Episode IV but little more is known beyond that. The casting of the role has been shrouded in secrecy but sources in the past few days had reported that Ehrenreich was the favorite, today they claim he has the part. No official press release from Disney at the time of writing, we will keep you updated.
The 26 year-old actor appears in this years Cohen Brothers movie Hail, Caesar!
The Han Solo film, is set for release on May 25th, 2018. It will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller the geniuses behind the fantastic Lego Movie. Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens is scripting the new pic with his son Jon Kasdan.
