There’s been a lot of speculation about the final Wolverine movie. The most popular rumour is it being a much more violent movie than the, let’s be honest, rubbish wolverine movies we have seen previously. Well, producer Simon Kinberg just revealed that may be getting exactly that!
Speaking to Collider, Kinberg said:
“I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say about that. I will agree with you that Patrick Stewart was rumored to be a part of that film. It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”
He went on to say:
“It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies.”
I’d imagine that the success of Wolverines fellow mutant Deadpool had something to do with the decision. Hugh Jackman will be returning to the role for one last time and from the sounds of it we will get the closet interpretation to the comic book charecter yet.
