Warner Bros has moved the sequel to 2014’s Godzilla back by nine months. The film is now scheduled to arrive March 22 2019, instead of the original release date of June 8th, 2018.
This may have been because Godzilla 2 would have been going up against the next installment in the Transformers series. In it’s new slot it will be competing against Paramount’s Amusement Park, starring Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Garner. This sin’t the first time Matthew Broderick has faced off against the iconic mutant lizard, but the less said about that abysmal movie the better. They both arrive just two weeks after Disney’s Captain Marvel.
In other giant lizard news the Godzilla vs King Kong movie will kick off May 29th, 2020. Godzilla vs Kong has that date to itself.
