Another Season of “The X-Files” is in the works, this news comes from a recent conference in which Fox TV Group chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman both made it clear that there’s strong interest in seeing “The X-Files” return for another season.
This is unsurprising seeing the most recent series received some impressive viewing numbers.
Dana Walden stated:
“We have had conversations with Chris Carter and David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. I believe everyone is on board to do another installment of the show, hopefully this season we will be able to get it done and that the same time next year (May), we will have something to announce.”
Newman added:
“Conversations are ongoing. I can tell you that all of them would like to do more of these, and certainly the network and studio want to do more.”
The last series ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I’m happy to hear it will be resolved.
