Deadlight: Directors Cut will bring the 2D zombie side scroller to the current generation of consoles. Complete with new animations, enhanced controls with 1080p resolution and an all new “Survival Arena” mode.
You can see the new trailer here:
Deadlight follows a man trying to survive in Seattle during the zombie apocalypse of 1986.
You may remember that developer Tequila Works recently acquired the rights to its upcoming cel-shaded adventure Rime from Sony. Ostensibly it’s planning to either self-publish or release it on other platforms, so it seems like Deadlight’s restoration will help fund that game’s release. The port is a collaboration between original developers Tequila Works and Abstraction Games. This marks the first time the game has been available for a Playstation platform. This isn’t the first port Abstraction Games have worked on, having previously ported Hotline Miami and Don’t Starve when they made the jump to Playstation.
Deadlight:Directors Cut is due out on 21st June on Xbox One, PS4 and PC for $19.99 (about £14).
