The third stand alone Wolverine movie has already begun filming in New Orleans but details, such as the film’s title, have been kept under wraps. We do know that Hugh Jackman will reprise his role for the final time. 
Well now Nerdist News reports that The Wolverine will be facing off against the Reavers, they quote their sources as “someone close to the production”. The Reavers are cyborg mercenaries with a massive grudge against mutants. Especially Wolverine who has a habit of severing their limbs during their many face offs. The Reavers are led by Donald Pierce, a member of the infamous Hellfire Club and a cyborg himself. Pierce once took revenge on Wolverine by going all old testament and straight up crucifying him.

We know that Boyd Holbrook, of Netflix’s Narcos, is playing the main villain who is the chief of security for a global corporation. Richard E. Grant is also playing a mad scientist which Nerdist suggests may be Donald Pierce himself but that’s just speculation.
X-men franchise producer Simon Kinberg said of the film:
“This is a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies. It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film.”
Wolverine 3 will also star Stephen Merchant, Eriq Lasalle, with Patrick Stewart returning as Professor Xavier. The Movie is scheduled for release on March 3, 2017.
