Jon Feltheimer, the CEO of Lionsgate, who recently admitted The Divergent series: Allegiant was pants because it was rushed, is already thinking of the Power Rangers sequels. Maybe he should just calm down and take his time on these properties…
During a conference call with analysts Feltheimer said:
“We are really, really excited about the ‘Power Rangers’ movie. We could see doing five or six or seven.”
The CEO claims it was the positive reaction to the costume reveal that is spurring their belief the movie will do well enough to warrant sequels. The film may open and be fantastic and deserving of a sequel but six or seven? that’s optimistic, why not make is a cinematic universe whilst you are at it.
In other Power Ranger news set photos of the Red Ranger in action have popped up online. YVR Shoots have released shots of the Red Ranger in action on the film’s set in Steveston, British Columbia. You can find more images on their site.
