Microsoft, Mojang and 4J Studios have release a trailer for the upcoming Battle Mini Game update for console versions of Minecraft which is set for launch on June 21st :
The new update is set to be the first of many Mini Game updates for the console editions of the game, and will support up to 4 player split-screen co-op, or up to 8 players for online battles. The update comes with the 3 maps that are seen in the trailer (Cavern, Cove and Crucible) with more being available to purchase as a separate map pack.
With gameplay similar to that of the Hunger Games series, players are pitted against each other in a battle royal, with only one person emerging victorious.
