At the EA Play conference today, EA announced that they would be donating $1 million to charitable causes through their “Play to Give” programme.
Throughout the EA Play event, players can take part in 5 challenges to pick up bonuses to celebrate the charitable donation.
The charities are:
Code.org – Dedicated to expanding access to computer science and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of colour.
Code2040 – Creates pathways to educational, professional and entrepreneurial success in technology for underrepresented minorities with a specific focus on Black and Latino/as
HeForShe – Inviting people around the world to stand together to create a bold, visible force for gender equality.
National Centre for Women & Information Technology – Works to correct the imbalance of gender diversity in technology and computing.
SpecialEffect – Uses technology to enhance the quality of life of people with all kinds of needs, including stroke and road traffic accident patients, individuals with life-limiting conditions and injured soldiers returning from overseas.
Players can take part in challenges in Battlefield 4 or Battlefield Hardline, FIFA 2016, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes and Madden NFL 16 to collect bonuses including coins, shards, credits and more.
