Disney’s is no stranger to box office success and this year proves no different as Finding Dory swims in with a record-breaking opening. This weekend the sequel to 2003’s ‘Finding Nemo’ became the biggest domestic opening for an animated film of all time with $136.2 Million. This also makes Finding Dory the second-largest June opening of all time after last year’s phenomenally successful Jurassic World ($208.8M).
The movie follows Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) the Blue Tang Fish with memory problems seeting out on a journey to find her long-lost parents. She is of course joined by Nemo, now voiced by Hayden Rolence instead of the original Nemo Alexander Gould and Marlin (Albert Brooks).
Te film is yet to open in the U.K and will be in cinemas here 29 July 2016
