We have wanted to see Justice League Dark on the big screen for a long time. It almost happened too, with none other than Guillermo del Toro as the director, which would have been incredible… probably. However, our dreams have been dashed as it looks like the project is on indefinite hold.
Fear not! We may not be getting a live action movie but we are getting an animated and considering the quality of most DC animated movies that is a darn god consolation prize. The first footage from the upcoming animation was debuted at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend. The team consists of the more supernatural members of the DC Universe, handling situations deemed unfit for the traditional Justice League.
The footage has used some of the storyboards to fill in the gaps but it’s shaping up to be a great looking movie:
