Knocking Hops with Ben Younger (Tanked Up 405)
We talk the beginnings of Ben’s gaming career, his earliest gaming memories including Paperboy on the NES, arcade fighting games, and more. Then Ben and Aadil talk about their histories with craft beer, including early versus modern Brew Dog. Naturally the craft vs microbrewery (vs nanobreweries?) conversation. Ben talks about running a craft micropub, Untappd and competition in a small city with tourists, on both sides of the pandini no less.
Ben and Aadil start off with McColl’s Spring 2021 edition of Beet de Garde, a Belgian Abbey style beer. They move on to Hackney x Against the Grain’s Spirit of the Wood Barrel Aged Strong Stout. They finish with a 2019 Brouwerij Vandenbroek Vlaamsbruin Sour Dark Ale aged in the bottle.
